Israel's military announced that it has attacked multiple Syrian military sites on Wednesday in revenge for a roadside bombing along the border of the Golan Heights on Tuesday that wounded four soldiers. The Syrian side of the Golan is controlled in parts by Syrian rebels, some of which are al Qaeda-related. Targets included a Syrian military headquarters, a training facility, and artillery batteries. Violence from the conflict in Syria has spilled over into Israel multiple times, and in response Israel has reportedly hit Syrian targets several times since 2013.
