Israel Launches More Gaza Strikes

Israel has launched another series of airstrikes on Gaza, after being hit with rockets fired by Gaza militants. Six Israeli civilians were injured by the rockets, and now Israel and the Palestinian territory seem to be engaged in a full-fledged battle. Israel’s latest strike is the fifth launched since violence broke out on Thursday, when gunmen ambushed civilian vehicles and a military patrol in the southern town of Eilat, killing six civilians and two soldiers in the deadliest attack Israel had seen in three years. Jerusalem responded to Thursday's ambush with airstrikes against what the military said were tunnels used by gunmen in the Gaza Strip, and also killed the leader of the group reportedly responsible for the attacks.
