Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian in the no-go buffer zone along the Gaza border. It is the first such incident since the fight between Israel and Hamas ended in August. The victim, Fadel Mohammed Halawa, 32, was believed to have been farming or searching for birds that nest near the border. The Israeli military says it fired warning shots before shooting him as he approached the fence.
