Negotiators from Israel arrived in Cairo on Saturday to once again engage in peace talks to end the month-old war in Gaza that has claimed nearly 2,000 lives. A new 72-hour ceasefire negotiated by Egypt began Sunday and appeared to be holding on Monday morning. One rocket, for which Hamas has claimed responsibility, was launched at the Tel Aviv area before the ceasefire went into effect. A Hamas spokesperson has said that this round of negotiations would be the “last chance” for a deal with Israel.
