Israel’s National Security Council's Counter-Terrorism Division called on Israelis to evacuate the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt immediately because of imminent terrorist activity. The agency said that it had obtained “concrete information” that terrorists planned to kidnap Israeli nationals in the area. The threat might be part of retribution for the assassination of Hezbollah terrorist Imad Mugniyeh.
