Ivanka Trump China-Made Scarves Recalled

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka came under fire Wednesday after the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced 20,000 of her branded scarves are being recalled over flammability concerns. The CPSC said the Chinese-made scarves “pose a burn risk,” but no injuries have been reported. The “Beach Wave” and “Brushstroke Oblong” styles have been affected by the recall. A spokesperson for the Ivanka Trump collection said in a statement they were “disappointed” by the recall, but “relieved that immediate action is being taken.” Ivanka Trump’s father has lambasted companies like Apple and Ford for taking manufacturing jobs overseas, while media outlets have noted both he and his daughter also manufacture products—like the scarves—abroad.
