The Jacksonville Jaguars suspended Jalen Ramsey on Sunday after the cornerback threatened “war” on reporters covering the team. Ramsey became angry at reporters who filmed a practice-field scuffle between teammates Dante Fowler Jr. and Yannick Ngakoue. After tweeting out footage of the incident, journalist Philip Heilman of the Florida Times-Union was tweeted at by Ramsey, who said: “You know you done messed up right? Lol if y’all want war, we got sum for y’all. [And] I know the rest of y’all (and you know who you are) gone read this too just so you know #LameAssReporters.” According to Heilman, when Ramsey saw reporters filming the skirmish between Fowler and Ngakoue, he approached them and yelled, “Hey, man, y’all stop recording that shit, man,” reportedly adding other expletives. In a statement, the Jaguars said they suspended Ramsey “for violating team rules and conduct unbecoming of a Jaguars football player.” The ban will last for a week.
