Jailed Dad Views Dead Son in Drive-By

Compassion

After judge's order.

The incarcerated father of a 5-year-old boy accidentally shot to death by his half-brother will be allowed to pay his last respects to his son today, after an Indiana judge ordered that the hearse carrying the boy in his casket be taken by the jail. Authorities had declined to release Donahvon Troutman, being held on weapons and drug charges, so he could attend the funeral of DaMoni Troutman, but on the order of a Marion County judge, the hearse will be driven to a jail entryway and Troutman will be able to see it and pay his respects alongside a chaplain. The child was shot last Saturday by his 9-year-old half-brother.
