A Japanese blogger and cybercrime expert was killed by a man he had multiple online confrontations with, police in Japan said. Kenichiro Okamoto was repeatedly stabbed in the chest and neck Sunday night, minutes after he gave a talk on how to manage online clashes and drive internet traffic. He was pronounced dead at a hospital following the attack. A man named Hidemitsu Matsumoto confessed to “the murder in Chuo Ward” and cited a grudge over internet interactions as his motivation, police said. Okamoto’s blog had more than 1,000 followers and he described his blog as the “diary of a net watcher who loves the internet three times more than rice.”
