The “Beethoven of Japan” apparently neither writes his own symphonies nor is actually deaf. Mamoru Samuragochi won fame as a deaf composer in Japan. A week after admitted he had a ghost writer, he revealed "The truth is that recently I have begun to hear a little again.” Samuragochi unfortunately revealed this information just as Japanese figure skater Daisuke Takahashi is about to use his music for his short program at the Olympics.
