Aside from some momentary detours into a pizza party and a selfie-fest, the 86th Academy Awards featured what it always does: movie stars getting gold statues. Jared Leto won the first big award of the night, taking Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of a transgender character in The Dallas Buyer's Club. Lupita Nyong'o was another first-time winner, taking the statue for Best Support Actress for 12 Years a Slave.
