Country music star Jason Aldean said on Tuesday that he was canceling upcoming shows as a result of the mass shooting in Las Vegas that killed 58 people and injured hundreds. Aldean was on stage at a country music festival on Sunday night when a lone gunman opened fire on the crowd. “I feel like out of respect for the victims, their families and our fans, it is the right thing to do,” Aldean said in a statement posted on Twitter, adding that he will resume his tour next week.
