Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has made his first public appearance after being accused of a raping a 13-year-old alongside disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs during a VMA afterparty in 2000, which both men have denied. The rapper attended the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King alongside his wife Beyoncé and their 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, who respectively voice characters Nala and Kiara in the film. His mother-in-law, Tina Knowles, was also in attendance. The family smiled and posed together for pictures on the red carpet, with Carter also being seen throwing up a peace sign in a video captured by The Hollywood Reporter. In a lengthy statement released on Sunday, The Blueprint rapper called the allegations “idiotic” and vowed to not give the plaintiff “ONE RED PENNY.” First filed in October, the suit accused Combs and Carter of drugging and raping an unidentified teen at a VMA afterparty in 2000, while an unnamed female celebrity (dubbed only as Celebrity B) watched. Combs has previously denied all accusations made against him.
