Jerry Seinfeld swiftly shut down an activist in a video published Sunday, telling him he doesn’t “care about Palestine.”
In the clip, posted by Instagram provocateur and ambush interview specialist Subway DJ, the internet personality can be seen going up to the comedian and asking if he wanted to take a selfie.
It appears that the video was taken outside an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live at Radio City Music Hall Friday night.
As the two proceed to pose for a picture, Subway DJ, then says “Free Palestine” while holding up a peace sign, prompting an awkward silence from Seinfeld.

The actor has regularly voiced his support for Israel following the Oct. 7 attack launched by Hamas. At the time, Seinfeld posted an “I Stand With Israel” photo on his Instagram page and wrote: “I lived and worked on a Kibbutz in Israel when I was 16 and I have loved our Jewish homeland ever since.
“My heart is breaking from these attacks and atrocities. But we are also a very strong people in our hearts and minds. We believe in justice, freedom and equality,” he continued. “We survive and flourish no matter what. I will always stand with Israel and the Jewish people.”
Shortly after Oct. 7, the Seinfeld actor traveled to Tel Aviv to meet with families whose loved ones were taken hostage by Hamas. In an April 2024 interview with GQ, the comedian disclosed that he did not regret voicing his support for Israel despite the reaction he received for it online and shared, “I don’t preach about it. I have my personal feelings about it that I discuss privately.
“It’s not part of what I can do comedically, but my feelings are very strong,” he continued.
