Fist-pumping Jersey Shore fans can rest easy—MTV has officially booked a second season of the wildly successful reality show, it was announced late Friday. Twelve new episodes featuring the same cast from Season One will begin airing this summer, but surprise!—the self-described “guidos” and “guidettes” will “escape the cold northeast and find themselves in a new destination,” according to a statement. “Our audience has fallen in love with Jersey Shore and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family,” said the network’s president of programming.
