A passenger jet flying from New York to Moscow made an emergency landing in Iceland on Thursday after a bomb threat. A spokeswoman for the Russian airline Aeroflot said a phone call was made to the New York city police, causing the plane with 253 passengers on board to land at Reykjavik. Police plan to search the aircraft later Thursday, and passengers were all searched and then transported to a nearby hotel.
