Over the years, Jimmy Kimmel and his team of roving reporters out on Hollywood Boulevard have demonstrated that people will lie about almost anything to seem smart and informed on national television. But would they congratulate one of America’s greatest enemies for advancing its nuclear capabilities? Apparently!
“You would think that the idea that North Korea might have a hydrogen bomb would be somewhat alarming for those of us who are here on the West Coast,” Kimmel said on his show Wednesday night. But as he learned, “If you ask people a question in a cheerful enough manner, we Americans will offer congratulations for just about anything.”
