Anyone thinking Anthony Weiner’s campaign is a joke should think again. The former congressman and prolific junk tweeter has just been endorsed by Jimmy McMillan, best known for his tagline in New York’s 2010 gubernatorial race: “The rent is too damn high.” McMillan tweeted his support this morning along with a photo of himself and the embattled candidate. No details were given on why he’s backing Weiner, but it might have to do with his stance on affordable housing. As McMillan’s party website states, the cost of rent is his only priority. “There Is Nothing Else To Talk About. Absolutely NOTHING,” it says. Hear that, everyone?
