Former professional wrestler Jimmy Snuka died Sunday after a battle with cancer. His lawyer, Robert Kirwan II, said the former WWE start had died “due to complications from his ongoing medical problems.” Snuka’s death came less than two weeks after a Pennsylvania judge dismissed a murder case against him over the 1983 death of his girlfriend, a case which overshadowed his career. Prosecutors alleged that he had beaten her to death, while he maintained she died in a fall. Lehigh County Judge Kelly Banach dismissed the case against him on Jan. 3 after the defense announced he had only six months to live and was living in hospice care in Florida.
