Decides to stay home as storm approaches LA.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has decided to forgo his primetime speaking slot at the Republican National Convention as Tropical Storm Isaac heads straight for his state. “Party conventions are interesting but there’s no time for politics here in Louisiana,” Jindal tweeted Monday. This is the second Republican convention the governor has missed due to severe weather at home. In 2008, Hurricane Gustav touched down at the same time Republicans were gathering in St. Paul to nominate John McCain for president.
