The clinic that conducted a procedure on Joan Rivers that led to her death last month may see its federal accreditation taken away. After a month-long investigation, the New York State Health Department discovered unspecified lapses in four categories at the Yorkville Endoscopy LLC. It has given the clinic until January of next year to correct deficiencies before revoking accreditation. According to the city medical examiner, Rivers died of low blood oxygen while undergoing a procedure.
