It looks like Blackwater has its candidate: Private security guards for Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller arrested the editor of the Alaska Dispatch at a public event on Sunday—that is, until the real police came and told Miller’s guards they had to release him. Miller’s guards handcuffed Tony Hopfinger and held him in the hallway of the Anchorage middle school. Hopfinger was trying to get Miller to answer a question on camera about why he was disciplined by the Fairbanks North Star Bureau when he worked there as an attorney. The security guard who cuffed Hopfinger says that the event was obviously private because there were signs outside saying “Joe Miller for Senate.”
