Brian Hoyer has been chosen over Johnny Manziel to start as quarterback for the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 7. Both Hoyer and Manziel (known as Johnny Football) have had a terrible preseason. Hoyer has completed only 8-of-20 pass attempts, and thrown no touchdowns. Manziel in a recent game completed only 2-of-7 attempts for 29 yards and no touchdowns, and flipped off the Redskins' bench.
