Believe it or not, there was once a time in Jon Hamm’s life when he couldn’t get a date. Lighthearted Entertainment dusted off quite a gem from their archives, revealing that in 1996, Hamm, then a waiter, was a dating show contestant and—even more shocking—he was rejected by two women. In the clip, a 25-year-old Hamm is seen looking like a long-haired, bashful Don Draper on a show called The Big Date hosted by Mark Walberg (not that Mark Wahlberg, unfortunately). He attempts to woo his potential love interest with “fabulous food, fabulous conversation ending with a fabulous foot massage for an evening of total fabulosity,” and fails. TMZ reached out to the woman who passed up such a fabulous opportunity and she stood by her choice. She also said she’s never seen an episode of Mad Men, so what does she know?
