Jonah Hill & Spike Jonze Write Play For NYFW: New York’s upcoming Fashion Week could have its biggest production yet. First, Gareth Pugh announced plans for an immersive show with live performances. Now, Opening Ceremony, who is known for their elaborate runway shows, has enlisted the creative minds of director Spike Jonze and comedian Jonah Hill to write a one-act play to be staged in place of a traditional runway show. Audrey Hepburn’s Granddaughter Covers Harpers Bazaar: Recreating the roles of their iconic grandparents, Emma Ferrer, granddaughter to Audrey Hepburn, was photographed by Michael Avedon (grandson of well-regarded fashion photographer Richard Avedon) for the cover of this month’s Harper’s Bazaar. Richard Avedon considered Hepburn one of his muses in the 50s and the two maintained a close professional relationship. Ferrer, 20, has lived her life outside of the spotlight and unfortunately never knew her famous grandmother. “The first images I have of her are, interestingly enough, when she was quite young,” she says. “I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline—I believe this was before I understood that she was famous. But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had.” [Telegraph]
Yahoo Recruits More Top Names: Yahoo was serious about the revamping. After announcing that Elle’s Joe Zee would become the fashion vertical’s editor-in-chief, more and more top industry names have been moving over to the tech company. Women’s Health’s editor-in-chief Michele Promaulayko is just the latest, signing on to head up Yahoo Heath. In addition, Zee’s fashion team has been filled with names from reputable (and, surprisingly, edgy) titles—Sarah Cristobal from V Magazine, Dora Fung from CR Fashion Book, and Into the Gloss co-founder Nick Axelrod.
