Famed folk singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was taken to the hospital after a 911 call was made from her Los Angeles home Tuesday, TMZ reported. The 911 call was reportedly made for an unconscious female, but the 71-year-old appeared to be alert on the ride to the hospital, sources told TMZ. The “Big Yellow Taxi” singer was in intensive care as of late Tuesday, but her condition remains unclear. A statement from her official website said via Twitter the singer was “awake and in good spirits.”
Joni is currently in intensive care in an LA area hospital but is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them.
