A 54-year-old Missouri school teacher died from a heart attack after hearing of her father’s death in the Joplin tornado that killed over 120 people. The woman’s death will be considered a storm-related casualty even though the tornado did not directly kill her. The National Weather Service has upgraded the storm’s rating to an EF5, the strongest rating, meaning it had winds exceeding 200 mph. Authorities are still looking for survivors. Nine people have been rescued since Sunday, including two found on Tuesday.
