JPMorgan Chase has pulled advertising from NBC News programming until after the channel airs anchor Megyn Kelly’s interview with Infowars founder Alex Jones, The Wall Street Journal reports. JPMorgan reportedly yanked all digital and television ads from Kelly’s show, and from all NBC News programming, until after the interview airs. The banking giant is the first known advertiser to pull its sponsorship in response to the Jones interview. In a tweet Monday, JPMorgan Chase’s chief marketing officer condemned NBC giving a platform to Jones, a conspiracy theorist who claims that multiple mass-shooting events were staged. “As an advertiser, I’m repulsed that @megynkelly would give a second of airtime to someone who says Sandy Hook and Aurora are hoaxes,” CMO Kristin Lemkau tweeted.
