At a bond hearing for the former Tampa police captain charged with shooting and killing a man in a movie theater, the judge ordered surveillance video from the theater be made public. The video, while grainy, reflects what happened according to witnesses, showing the former policeman Curtis Reeves kicking seatbacks and fuming about texting, before pulling a gun to shoot the victim as popcorn goes flying. While the defense brought long-time friends and coworkers to testify that Reeves training taught him to react to perceived threats, the 71-year-old was seen wiping away tears.
