A Los Angeles federal judge ruled Tuesday that the woman accusing NBA star Derrick Rose of rape must reveal her name during an upcoming civil trial. U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald sided with Rose’s lawyer, who claimed that because the 30-year-old plaintiff has given interviews and press conferences, she should use her real name; and that not doing so would harm his client. The woman, who has been identified as “Jane Doe” in court documents, alleged that Rose and two of his friends raped her in 2013 while she was heavily intoxicated. Rose, however, claimed the encounter was entirely consensual.
