Voter ID laws are once again under fire in Pennsylvania, but this time the disdain is not just coming from citizen activists. Controversy has reached the judiciary, where on Friday a state judge blocked the law. Its enforcement was blocked in two prior elections, though last November, officials were required to tell voters that next time they would need to bring identification. But on Friday, Judge Bernard L. McGinley opined that "the prior injunctions did not stop time" and recommended banning the law until a case on the possibility of a permanent injunction could be heard in a court of law.
