Judge Leslie Dutchcot, who ruled that former Penn State assistant football coach and alleged child molester Jerry Sandusky could go free on bail, worked for Sandusky’s charity, the Second Mile. Dutchcot’s profile on the website of law firm Goodall and Yurchak lists volunteering at the Second Mile as one of her career achievements. Prosecutors had initially requested that Sandusky’s bail be set at $500,000 and that he be required to wear a leg monitor, but Dutchcot ruled that he could go free on only $100,000 unsecured bail, which he will have to pay only if he does not show up to court.
