Judge: No Banning Gays From Jury

Be careful what you wish for. A federal appeals court has ruled that potential jurors cannot be rejected because of their sexual orientation. The decision was unanimous by the three-judge panel on the U.S. Ninth Circuit and involved a mixed jury verdict in a federal antitrust case over an AIDS drug. The case will now be retried as the court says a gay juror was excluded. Advocates say the decision will make it harder to uphold other laws that discriminate based on sexual orientation.
