The judge in Stormy Daniels’ lawsuit against President Trump and his longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, has issued a stay, putting the case on hold for 90 days. Cohen’s attorney had asked for the delay because of the ongoing criminal probe against Cohen in New York. On Wednesday, Cohen said in a court filing that he would invoke the 5th Amendment in the Daniels lawsuit on account of the investigation. Daniels sued Trump and Cohen in California, arguing that a non-disclosure agreement she signed about her alleged affair with Trump is void because he didn’t actually sign it. The suit also accuses Cohen of defamation.
