A federal judge on Tuesday denied Stormy Daniels’ request to lift the 90-day stay in her lawsuit against President Donald Trump and Michael Cohen. U.S. District Judge S. James Otero had ordered the delay at the end of April due to the ongoing criminal investigation against Cohen. “While the Court is cognizant of the amount of media attention in this case, this alone is insufficient to create the exigency required for extraordinary relief,” Otero wrote in his Tuesday ruling. Daniels is suing in an effort to void the non-disclosure agreement she signed about her alleged affair with Trump. The suit also accuses Cohen of defamation.
