Judge Upholds Seattle Gun Violence Tax

DOING SOMETHING

Funds research and prevention efforts.

King County Superior Court Judge Palmer Robinson ruled in favor of Seattle's proposed gun violence tax on Tuesday. The tax would require firearms dealers to pay $25 for every gun sold as well as $0.02 or $0.05 for every round of ammunition. The money would then be used in turn to fund gun violence research and prevention programs.
