Julia Fox Says She’s Been Celibate for More Than 2 Years

Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder.

Julia Fox isn’t showing her uncut gems to anybody. Writing on social media, the actress claimed that she’s been celibate for the last two and a half years—“and never been better tbh.” The decision to let it all hang out in the open came in response to a TikTok featuring a new billboard campaign by a dating app. The campaign’s conceit? “A vow of celibacy is not the answer… introducing the new Bumble.” While some users praised Fox’s honesty and others turned their attention to attacking Bumble’s perceived fumble, this is far from the first time the eccentric New York ‘it’ girl has made her feelings on sex and love known. In the grand tradition of Whoopi “I Don’t Want Somebody in My House” Goldberg, Fox has previously said she just wants to be “left alone” when it comes to men. “Like, don’t talk to me, don’t look at me, don’t bother me,” she told Elle last year. Then, of course, there was Fox’s infamous weeks-long dalliance with the controversial rapper and antisemite Kanye West in early 2022, after which she insisted there “wasn’t any” sex in their relationship. “It wasn’t really about that,” she said.
