More gripes about Julian Assange: this time from a jilted boyfriend. An American reporter who was in Sweden with his girlfriend in August tells the Daily Mail that Assange stole his girlfriend—just two days before his sexual encounter with the first of his alleged rape victims. The three had gone out to dinner, when Assange and the girlfriend took an exceptionally long smoking break. “They were standing very close together a little way down the street, and Julian was whispering in her ear,” the journalist says. When he confronted them, Assange put his fists up. “Assange seemed to take pleasure in humiliating me,” says the writer, who went home without his girlfriend.
