Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opened with an estimated $150 million this weekend to dethrone Incredibles 2 as the No. 1 film in North American theaters. A sequel to the 2015 hit, the latest installment in the dinosaur franchise, clinched the fourth-biggest opening of the year. While it fell short of its record-shattering predecessor—which earned $208 million in its 2015 launch—it got off to a good start with a global haul of $711.5 million. Disney and Pixar’s family-superhero adventure Incredibles 2 slid to second place with $80.9 million after taking in a whopping $182.7 million in its first weekend. The female-led Ocean’s 8 came in third place with $11.7 million.
