The latest Jurassic Park sequel has already brought in $511.8 million worldwide, making it the first movie to take in more than half a billion dollars on its opening weekend. Jurassic World also became the second-biggest domestic opening of all time—behind The Avengers. The hotly anticipated dino movie opened in 4,273 theaters, some of which screened it in IMAX and 3D. The series’ first movie, released in 1993, broke records by being the first movie to top $50 million in its opening weekend.
