Chicago police obtained a warrant to inspect Jussie Smollett’s iCloud account, and shared the data with the FBI, according to redacted version of the Chicago Police Department’s investigative file provided to the Chicago Tribune. The investigation documents were obtained Wednesday through a Freedom of Information Act request, just one day after 16 felony charges against the Empire actor were dropped by the State’s Attorney’s Office. The report also revealed Smollett may have overpaid or been overcharged by Ola and Abel Osundairo for training and nutritional help, which the actor explained was the reason behind the $3,500 check that police believed was a payment to carry out a staged hate crime. The brothers told police their hourly pay rate for personal training is between $20 and $50, meaning Smollett would have had paid for about 70 sessions upfront.
