Cash-strapped states may soon have a new source of income: online gambling. The Justice Department reversed a long-held position that the Wire Act forbade all forms of internet gambling. The Justice Department said states could use the internet to sell lottery tickets to adults within their own borders, opening the door to online poker and other games, and online gambling across several states that enter a compact together.
