Justin Bieber Wears Overalls to Meet Canadian Prime Minister

Justin Bieber has never been known for his refined taste in clothing. Backwards caps, XL white wife-beaters and an addiction to drop-crotch pants. But it still came as a surprise when the 18-year-old singer showed up to meet the Canadian Prime Minister wearing a simple white Tee, bulky silver chain, bracelet, backwards cap and – overalls.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper bestowed Biebs with a Diamond Jubilee Medal in Ottawa on Friday -- and onlookers and media outlets were quick to judge the freshly-legal pop star for his less than formal getup. Gawker dubbed Bieber the "White Trash Prince," but Bieber fired back: “The pic of me and the Prime Minister was taken in a room in the arena where i was performing at that day.” He continued: “If you . . .expect me to have a change of clothes let a loan [sic] a suit at that specific time that's crazy.. Wow am i ever white trash." During a concert where he often has several outfit changes -- well, that actually wouldn’t be too much to ask.

Lucky for Bieber, Harper responded comically to the incident, tweeting this response from his official account: "In fairness to @justinbieber, I told him I would be wearing my overalls too. #cdnpoli #beliebers"
