Pop music’s teen sensation Justin Bieber pocketed three major prizes during Sunday night’s American Music Awards, capping the evening off with a win for Favorite Artist of the Year. Other big winners included Usher, with two major awards, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna. Bieber beat out Eminem and Usher, his mentor and biggest champion, for the top prize. Unlike other music accolades such as the Grammys, the American Music Awards are determined by sales data and radio airplay.
