Rapper Kanye West told TMZ Monday that he called former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the hopes of bringing him to the White House. “I’ve been calling Colin this morning, reaching him, so I can bring Colin to the White House and we can remove that ‘sons of bitches’ statement and we can be on the same page,” West said, while wearing his “Make America Great Again” hat. West is referring to a statement Trump made about NFL team owners punishing players for kneeling during the National Anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality. “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when someone disrespects our flag, to say: ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out. He’s fired,’” Trump said at a Sept. 22, 2017, rally in Huntsville, Alabama. “We never give up on anyone,” West told TMZ. “We move forward. We give love. We keep going. We keep having the conversation until the conversation turns to love.”
