Mexican star actress Kate del Castillo, who arranged the meeting between Sean Penn and Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, filed a petition seeking an injunction against being arrested for her involvement in the rendezvous. A judge who reviewed the documents told the actress's lawyers, however, that they needed to specify exactly why they sought the injunction, and were given five days to answer. Castillo has reportedly expressed fears about retribution from the Mexican government after she arranged the secret liaison with the escaped drug lord with intent to work on a film project about his life.
