While Prince Harry was humbling the mighty Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers Wednesday with a bumper $12 million settlement and “full and unequivocal apology”, his estranged sister-in-law Kate Middleton showed her taste for the quieter life, and went out shopping for new spectacles. Kate was photographed trying on glasses at trendy independent optician Finlay, on Notting Hill’s Ledbury Road. The company’s frames have long been a staple for Kate. Earlier this month, Kate announced she is “in remission” from cancer and is now looking to the future. The Daily Beast has been told that she is expected to spend as much time as possible with her young family in the months and years ahead and is likely to be seen in public less often. The other person identified was King Charles.
