In a new coin minted to commemorate the upcoming wedding between Britain’s Prince William and his fiancée, Kate Middleton, the bride-to-be’s features are rendered flattened and pudgy, rather than slim and chiseled, as Middleton appears in real life. Inspiration for the design, in which Prince William is portrayed with notable likeness to the real man, came from a photograph of the couple at a sporting event and was approved by both William and the Queen.
