Earl F. Brosnahan, Jr., father of the late Kate Spade, passed away Wednesday evening at age 89, the night before his daughter’s funeral. His death comes weeks after Spade’s, who committed suicide in her New York home. “He had been in failing health of late,” his family said in a statement provided to ABC and Good Morning America, “and was heartbroken over the recent death of his beloved daughter. He was at home and surrounded by family at the time of his passing.”
