Katharine McPhee and David Foster Suffer ‘Horrible Tragedy’

Katharine McPhee is bowing out of the last two shows of her Asia tour with husband David Foster because of a “horrible tragedy” in their family. The couple provided no other details on the announcement on Instagram, but McPhee said “at least one of us need to get back home to our family.” Sources close to the family told TMZ that their 2-year-old son’s nanny died, although the specific circumstances still remain unclear. McPhee is currently on her way back to the U.S., according to the sources. Her rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment from TMZ. The couple have been in Asia for Foster’s “Hitman Tour” since Aug. 7 and were scheduled to perform together in Jakarta on Friday and Saturday.
